
Appointed Artist Records Gospel Recording Artist, Carol Calloway comes to you once again with her 4th release entitled, "Delayed But NOT Denied" produced by Daniel Fordham, written by Carol Calloway/ASCAP and Daniel Fordham/ASCAP.
Carol is a singer, songwriter, producer, vocal coach and actress who accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 12. In the late 1980's, the Lord blessed her to become a singer and directress with the Southern Regional Gospel Choir under the leadership of the late Tyrone Caldwell who was also the director of the late Rev. Ernest Davis, Jr.'s Wilmington Chester Mass Choir. The Southern Regional Gospel Choir has appeared frequently on the TV-40 television network for the Sandra's Sunrise Gospel Hour in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
In 1992, the Lord let her to the Tri-State Mass Choir of the Edwin Hawkins Music and Arts Seminar, Inc. The Tri-State Mass Choir has been blessed to have their 5th Live recording in May 2001 with their producer, The Godfather of Contemporary Gospel Music, Edwin Hawkins. Singing and traveling across the USA with Tri-State Mass Choir has afforded her many opportunities including background singing for world renowned Gospel recording artists such as the Queen of Gospel, Albertina Walker, Dorothy Norwood, Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, Dr. Bobby Jones and Betty Griffin-Keller to name a few.
After settling in Harrisburg, PA, Carol immediately got involved with community outreach programs. She was a board member for the New Hamilton Community Development Corp., and served as youth director for Youth Caring For The Community. For her involvement in both the Gospel Music Industry and the Harrisburg Community, she was awarded the Gospel Singer of the Year Award for the City of Harrisburg in April 2001. In March 2005, Carol was presented a Resolution from the Harrisburg City Council for all of her musical accomplishments and this recognition was presented Live on Comcast Cable Harrisburg TV-20.
Gospel Recording Artist Carol Calloway is also an actress appearing as special guest Gospel Recording Artist in several Gospel Play Productions; "Lookin' For Luv In All The Wrong Places"; a Michelle Higgins Production in Newark, New Jersey; 'Sho Do Need Him Now' and "There's Not A Friend"; a W. Wayne DeShields Productions in her hometown of Bridgeton, New Jersey and "Beyond The Surface" and "Destination Destiny"; a Rev. Nathaniel Gadsen's Writer's Wordshop Production in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. In addition to her solo career, Carol is also a songwriter, a producer and a background vocalist for Redemption; a musical ensemble founded by Carolyn Ransom and produced by Edwin Hawkins.
Carol appears on the cover of Gospel on Demand Magazine in Orlando, Florida for the May/June 2004 issue and also appeared as the featured Artist with Hip Hop Saints Magazine in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2005.
She previously released "Send The Comforter", a single entitled, "United" and "Holy Is The Lord".
