Phil Green
Over the years, Gospel music has inspired, enthused and reinvented itself. Its message has extended to an international level and has touched hearts on a personal level. Gospel music has now reached a new status, a new height, with the creation of Phil Green's debut CD entitled "Testimony."
The self written and produced CD is a gospel within itself. Phil has musically integrated emotionally charged lyrics with melodic symphonies. R&B, Pop, and Rock infused genres can only begin to describe Phil Green style. It's cutting-edge, revolutionary, head bopping, soul soothing, and ear pleasing. It's inspiring; motivational. It overcomes all boundaries, transcending religion, race, culture, and ethnicity.
Phil wrote and produced many songs for Blackmale (later known as "No Question,") with the legendary Philadelphia composer Larry Gold. They were the first R&B group to land a recording contract with the Sony Label, Relativity Records. Phil left the group to pursue a solo music career. During this time he toured Europe with "The Whitehead Brothers" a Motown recording R&B group, performing backgrounds on a number of their hits in London, Sweden, Denmark and more. The Whitehead Brothers are the sons of the late great John Whitehead who wrote the Philadelphia International hit "Ain't No Stopping Us Now." Phil's father also wrote another Philadelphia International hit "Then Came You," performed by Dionne Warwick and the Spinners that went Gold. However, as it would be predestined, appointed, through God's will, Phil answered his call to create music of another degree.
There can never be a testimony without a test. As an Ordained Minister, Phil Green can sincerely express his "Testimony." These tests have given him the strength to overcome adversity, life's challenges, and the masses misguidance's. These test have taught him to recognize God's love, life's blessings, and self worth.
These testshave brought him to you, to me, the world. They keephimreal and true, humble and accessible.
It's with conviction and perseverance that Phil Green has been able to stand strong. It's not without his tests that he has this testimony.To guide others,to touch heart's,to reachsouls, to find peace.
How powerful is it to make a change in your life, in the world - it is in his faith.
How profound is it to express how you feel and have others discover the courage to do the same - it is in his message.
How can he not answer the call - it is in his belief.
How prevalent is it to know that you are a servant of a higher power. Doing your mission and grateful to do it - it is in his devotion.
How can persistence be denied - it is in his music. Testimony.
