PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (August 4, 2009)-Lord, I'm Ready to Be a Wife (Josephine Communications), the debut book by Philadelphia native Christine Pembleton, has ranked number two on "The Top 50 Black Christian Independent Publishers Bestsellers List" (nonfiction).
The "Top 50" list is based on sales data from mega-online retailers Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com, and other groups. It is compiled by Black Christian News Network, a website that features news and world events from a black Christian perspective, and Black Christian Book Company, a Christian media and promotional outfit. More than 300 titles by black Christian authors- both fiction and nonfiction-are ranked each month.
Lord, I'm Ready to Be a Wife shares practical advice from Pembleton's journey from singleness to married life, plus wisdom and insights gleaned from the lives of successfully married women in the Bible and her own group of mentors and peers. This book helps the single woman get out of her own way, so that the right man will recognize her as his wife when he sees her.
