Jacquee’ was born to sing! She is a spectacular singer, songwriter, and God-given talent of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her career began at the age of two while singing with her mother, Joanne McCarthy and four sisters known as the Sandlin Singers. They made gospel appearances all over the city of Brotherly Love. With the gospel roots planted in her field, Jacquee’s songwriting abilities were recognized while she attended Lincoln University. She recorded an album with the L.U. Gospel Choir in which her original song” God Has Never Failed Me Yet” was featured as the title track under Gospel Gems Record Company under Josiah Music and BMI. JACQUEE‘ performed the song,” Power of Love” in yet another Gospel Production of “Hats on the Vine” written by Joseph P Blake. Jacquee’s voice was also used in a television commercial introducing NBC’s Channel 10 News anchorman Larry Kane. JACQUEE’ performed on the 2002-2003 National Tour Musical Production of, “Hallelujah Mahalia” and she portraits the role of the late Kitty Parham, one of the Gospel Stellar Award Winners, the Clara Ward Singers. The play was at the Merriam Theater Dec. 2002, and the Keswick Theater Spring 2003. Jacquee’ performed at the Merriam Theater in Dec.2003 and 2004 in, “Walking by Faith” in which she recently performed the role of Aretha Franklin on May 31, 2003, at the Ethical Society. JACQUEE’ will perform at the Merriam Theater on June 26, 2004, in “Let the Church Roll On” along with Marla Gibbs, Dawnn Lewis, and Dorien Wilson. JACQUEE’ served as MC and guest soloist for City Commissioner, Eager A. Howard, on April 16, 2004, during a Jazz Fund Raiser. She recently performed as a guest soloist for a Wedding Expo on May 16, 2004, which featured the release of the magazine entitled,” FOR YOU MAGAZINE” first issue. Jacquee’ has performed, along with bands, “Cover Story” , “Pure Joy”, “Joy Ride” and a Trio “Nice and Easy” at several high society country clubs such as the Mansion, Medford Lakes Country Club, The Presidential, Laurel Creek Country Club, and Stone Harbor just to name a few.
Presently, JACQUEE’ is a member and publisher of ASCAP in which one of her songs entitled, “We Give All Praises “was featured on the September 2001 ECDC Record’s release of the Enon Tabernacle Mass Choir, “Live at the Tabernacle.” This CD was the #1 best selling gospel CD in the Philadelphia region for over an eight-month period as is still making its mark around the world. . She sang, in 2002, with the Rev. Dr. Alyn E. Waller and the Mass Choir on the Anchoring Bright Children Tour to promote the CD. JACQUEE’ has humbly forwarded all of her royalties of the CD, to benefit the children participating in this educational program that will provide them with a brighter future.
She captivated the audience and put them in awe as she performed at the Saint Joseph’s University Campus for Martin Luther King national Holiday in January 2002 and 2003. The WDAS AM 1480 radio station did a live remote radio broadcast. Jacquee,’ along with the Enon Mass Choir, has opened for the following gospel recording artists, during the summer of 2002-2003; Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Donnie Mc Clurklin, Curt Carr, Dorothy Norwood, Fred Hammond, & Smokie Norful 2008.
Her ultimate goal is to travel internationally, to become a world-renowned recording solo artist, to write, arrange, and produce original songs, and to ultimately seize the music industry by storm coming from all genres. Jacquee’ recently founded an entertainment, music production, management, and business consulting company, “Lil Harmony Enterprises LLC., INC,” which specializes in music recording production, publishing, artist’s management and development, image consulting, vocal coaching services, etc. Jacquee’ works hard to bless others through song and she is currently the Director of Music for Providence Baptist Church, which is located in the Germantown section of Philadelphia! Given all of this, Jacquee’ still finds time to manage a local multifaceted band called “Assignment” whereas she is the lead vocalist
Jacquee’ has a strong love for Gospel but is very versatile because she sings R &B, Pop, and Jazz as well. Her sensational and sultry voice can be in comparison to so many great singers throughout our lifetime. As Jacquee’ belts her heart out in singing, it comes directly from the heavens, and you can see that she is truly an anointed gift from God!
