We here at PA Gospel are deeply saddened to learn of passing of our dear Vera Cornish, she was a giant of communication within our city and beyond. Our prayers today are with her family and loved ones – and the people of the capital city Harrisburg.

When Vera Cornish first came to Harrisburg from Wilkes-Barre years ago, Harlon Robinson saw something special in her right away.

He was the head of human resources at HACC at that time, and was instrumental in hiring her for the community college’s new cultural diversity program.

“Some of us like to work behind the scenes. Vera was right up front,” Robinson said. “I enjoyed watching her become a role model for others.”
